India's mid-market is where the next generation of market leaders is being built. It is also where traditional financing consistently falls short — too complex for banks, too small for large institutional lenders, too fast-moving for slow capital.
"Sira Alternatives was founded to close this gap — by professionals who have sat on both sides of the table: as institutional investors who have deployed billions across market cycles, as operators who have built and exited businesses, and as special situations advisors who know what happens when deals go wrong."
We are a native AI alternatives firm investing across performing credit, special situations, pre-IPO financing, and complex acquisition structures — wherever speed, structuring expertise, and deep sector knowledge command a premium.
We stay engaged through the full life of every investment to add value to our investee companies.
If you are a mid-market company navigating a complex financial moment — a consolidation, a pre-IPO window, an acquisition, or a balance sheet situation your existing lenders cannot solve — we want to hear from you.
We work with businesses that have strong promoters, identifiable exit paths, and a need for patient, structured capital. We are not a last-resort lender. We are a value-additive financing partner that moves with speed and conviction when the opportunity calls for it.
We structure across the full capital stack — from senior secured debt to mezzanine and participating instruments — with sector depth across Industrials & Manufacturing, Infrastructure, Renewables, Healthcare & Pharma, Specialty Chemicals, Technology, and Real Estate.

Most of the private credit market sits at one of two extremes: large institutions with deep pockets but slow, bureaucratic processes, or boutique funds with speed but limited underwriting depth. Sira is built to occupy the space in between.
With a significant GP commit, we have more capital at stake alongside our LPs than most comparable funds in the market. We only succeed when our investors succeed.
Our DNA is in large, complex transactions where management has to actively create equity value — through operational improvement, strategic consolidation, or a well-executed transition to public markets.
We use AI across the full investment lifecycle — to source faster, diligence faster, and execute with greater precision. Post-investment, AI-driven monitoring allows us to track portfolio performance in real time and flag early signals.
Our origination network spans promoter relationships built over decades, PE and VC fund networks, CA and banking relationships, and India's entrepreneurial ecosystem. A meaningful share of our pipeline is proprietary.
Every deal benefits from a founder's instinct, backed by institutional rigour. Ability to evaluate management quality, execution risk, and capital efficiency from the inside out.
Our team's combined experience spans global credit and private equity, large-scale entrepreneurship, and structured finance across multiple market cycles, enabling differentiated underwriting across Industrials, Infrastructure, Renewables, Healthcare, Technology, and Real Estate.
We commit our own capital alongside our investors. Our GP contribution is among the highest in the market, because we believe the best way to earn trust is to share the risk.
Good intentions do not protect capital — structures do. We apply institutional-grade underwriting and bespoke financial engineering to every deal, with an uncompromising focus on downside protection across market cycles.
Our business is built on the trust of promoters and institutions who share sensitive information with us at critical moments. We guard that trust absolutely, and treat confidentiality as a primary professional obligation.
We take ownership of outcomes — not just at the point of investment, but through active portfolio monitoring, proactive reporting, and hands-on engagement when situations evolve. Every result, good or challenging, is ours to own.
We invest in businesses, not just instruments. Our goal is to be the partner mid-market companies turn to as they transition to public markets and large institutional investment — a relationship that lasts beyond the term of any individual deal.
The leadership at Sira Alternatives brings together over 65 years of multi-disciplinary experience across global institutional investing, entrepreneurship, and complex financial restructuring. We are a partner-led firm — every investment decision, every relationship, and every outcome is owned by the founding team, supported by a network of senior advisors, IC members, and specialist partners in technology, tax, legal, and ESG.
Sujeet spent seven years as India Head at CPP Investments — one of the world's largest institutional investors — during which the firm's India AUM scaled 6x from US$3.5bn to US$22bn across Credit, Private Equity, Public Markets, Real Estate, Infrastructure, and Renewables. He also managed senior relationships with large corporates, peer sovereign wealth funds and pension funds, domestic asset managers, and key government stakeholders.
Prior to CPP Investments, Sujeet was a strategy consultant at McKinsey, advising clients across functional topics and sectors in the US, Europe, and India. He has also led a family-owned waste-to-energy business. At Sira, he drives overall strategy and LP relationships, and serves on the Investment Committee.

LinkedInSrinivasan brings a perspective to Sira that is genuinely rare in private credit: that of a founder who built a business from the inside and returned as a sophisticated investor. He scaled Porus Laboratories (now Novopor) from a family business into a leading specialty chemicals company, culminating in a landmark exit to Bain Capital in 2023.
He is now an active capital allocator with 33+ venture investments and serves as Vice Chairman of the Hyderabad Angels Forum (HAFE), one of India's most active early-stage investment networks. His founder's lens — applied to management quality, capital efficiency, and business risk — adds a dimension to Sira's underwriting that is difficult to replicate.
